Back Eyed Peas in Seoul

Black Eyed Peas are performing tonight in Jamsil, an area of Seoul. This picture looks ridiculous to me. Taboo (on the left) is the only one that doesn’t seem to be embarrassed to be wearing those Korean hats and holding the fans.

Is Holiday Inn the New Starbucks

Bloomberg reports today that InterContinental Hotels Group - owner of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and other chains - opened a hotel a day in June 2007, putting the company well on track to reach its goal of adding 60,000 rooms to its inventory by 2008. Onto Gan Gimignano

We head of to San Gimignano. None of this was pre-planned, we are just driving to whereever takes our fancy at the time.

We are used to driving in Australia where the distances between major cities is vast. So we find it odd that everything is so close to reach.

The following morning we have a tour booked to Pisa so we don't want to go there today, but we keep coming upon signs saying we are almost there. So we turn around and drive in another direction to look at something else.

Fortunately there are just so many interesting towns to visit. Each with it's own charm and historical value.

Paris: The Best Macarons in Paris

the-best-macaron-in-paris.jpgThe macaron -- an almond-based meringue, ganache-filled, button-sized delicacy that has little to do with the paperweight-like coconut macaroons popular in the U.S. -- is a Parisian obsession. Everyone has their favorite flavor, perfume, and address. Here's a list of top spots to sample the seductive little pastries -- made with violet, cactus, olive oil, foie gras, and everything in between -- so you can decide on your own favorite.
