Hey, this isn't Vashon Island, Toto. Here, it is 80 degrees and sunny. I enjoyed my first ocean swim just a few minutes ago. How wonderful to be in the salt water with gentle waves breaking around me. Whales offshore, a secluded beach, the wife, a friend, good eatin' and drinkin', not a bad set-up at all.
Tomorrow, more of the same with the addition of a morning snorkel. I didn't take this photo, but this is the view from our accommodation. We are off of the beaten track and pretty much alone. It's great! This is island time like I've not experienced. Very nice! Aloha.

A few weeks ago, Chicago got its first dose of the Michelin Guide and saw just how much those little stars could send the city's culinary community into a tizzy. All in all, 23 restaurants were awarded stars, with just two earning the highest marks. Now, we can see all the lauded eateries plotted out on one handy map and you can start picking off places you want to check out.
We're also adding in some commentary sent to us anonymously by the Michelin inspectors, so keep that in mind when perusing. If you love what you see, leave a comment. If you hate it, well, leave a comment then, too.
