Notice anything different about the master bedroom at The Bangkok Hilton?
Well, last night, around 2am, I woke up. I often wake up at 2am. Not sure why. Well, this year, at least. The not sure. Not the waking up.
I usually sleep with the window open as I loathe stuffy rooms as they remind me of my childhood spent in a cellar.
Anyway, I was lying there thinking how lucky SC was to have escaped the catagory 5 biggest hurricane ever to hit the Baja, when I smelt the ugly scent of tobacco smoke wafting through the window.
Eeek. I know.
So just like what folks do in movies, I turned on the light, doh, got up, went to the barely covered window and peered out into darkness. I could see nothing, as I'd turned the light on inside. Doh. But whoever it was smoking outside in my carpark could probably see me in my full gory. [The neighbor's not here this weekend, so it wasn't him]
Anyway, despite my heart pounding with fear like what it did when I was the only person in a pyramid with a power cut, as one does usually find oneself, I proceeded to hang towels from the window and then went back to bed.
